    Prof. Ki Dong Park, Ajou University, Korea 

    Ki Dong Park received his Ph.D in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Utah, USA in 1990. After postdoctoral training at CCCD in Utah, he worked as a principal research scientist at Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) from 1991 to 2000. He joined the faculty in the Department of Molecular Science and Technology and Applied Chemistry and Biological Engineering at Ajou University in 2000. He has been working in many national committees as a chair or member. He was the president of the Korean Society for Biomaterials (KSBM) in 2013 and have been honorary president of KSBM. He is acting as vice presidents of Korean Industrial and Applied Chemistry Society and Korean Translational Medical Device Society. He is an elected Fellow of Korean National Academy of Science and Technology (KAST), an elected Fellow of Biomaterials Science and Engineering of the International Union of Societies of Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE) and elected Fellow of the American Institute of Biomedical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE). He is serving as a Congress chair of World Biomaterials Congress (WBC2024) to be held in Korea 2024. He has published over 320 scientific publications, possessed 70 patents, and joined many book chapters. He also received many awards including National WOONGBI Medal from the government for his contributions to the academic societies and scientific achievements. His research interests are wide-ranging from implants, controlled drug delivery, tissue regeneration, and biomimetic surface modification.



       

    Prof. Changyou Gao, Zhejiang University, China

    Changyou Gao graduated from Department of Chemistry, Jilin University to receive his Bachelor degree (1990), Master degree (1993) and Ph.D of Polymer Chemistry and Physics (1996). From 1996 to 1998, he worked in Department of Polymer Science and Engineering of Prof. Changyou Gao, Zhejiang University, China as a postdoctor fellowship. He was a DAAD and visiting scholar in Max-Plank Institute of Colloids and Interfaces of Germany (1999). He is a Cheung Kong Scholar of Ministry of Education of China, a winner for the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, a fellow of the international federation of biomaterial science and engineering societies, the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, and Royal Society of Chemistry. He is now serving as a deputy president of Chinese Society of Biomaterials, and an associate editor of Biomaterials Advances. His research interests include self-adaptive biomedical polymers and colloids/microparticles as well as their applications in therapy of myocardium infarction, osteoarthritis, and peripheral and central nerve defects etc. He has published more than 400 papers with a citation over 12,000 times by peers and an H-index of 76, and has been authorized more than 70 national invention patents as the main accomplisher.





    Prof. Swee Hin Teoh,Hunan University, China  

    Prof Teoh is the Director and Distinguished Yeulu Chair Professor, Center for Advanced Medical Engineering (CAME) at the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Hunan University, People's Republic of China. He majored in Materials Engineering (B Eng with First Class Honors and PhD at Monash University in 1978 and 1982 respectively). He is a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Engineering, Singapore. Prof Teoh spent 30 yrs (1982-2012) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Co-Chaired the Graduate Program in BioEngineering (GPBE). He also Chaired the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) with a joint Professorship at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC Med) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), from 2012-2021. He was awarded the prestigious NTU President's Chair Award for Educational Leadership and for his outstanding research. He is also the Senior Mentor to the clinical scientists at the National Dental Centre of Singapore for the last 10 years. He is committed to using knowledge to benefit society. He is known for excellence in teaching, research and entrepreneurship.Professor Teoh is a global leader and pioneer in the use of 3D printing technology to manufacture clinical scaffolds for bone tissue engineering. To date, his MedTech company Osteopore Internationals has implanted more than 100,000 scaffolds worldwide. The company has been successfully listed in 2019 (ASX-Australia). His pioneering work on 3D printed scaffolding has earned him the prestigious "Golden Innovation Award" from the Far Eastern Economic Review and the "Notable Engineering Achievement Award" from the Institute of Engineers, Singapore. As part of the SG50 celebrations, he was listed as one of Singapore's leading scientists. His team also received the "2018 Patent Excellence Award" from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore.Currently, he is focusing on biomaterials, piezoelectric bone tissue engineering and regenerative medicine with research ranging from synthetic bones, blood vessels






    Prof. Seeram Ramakrishna, National University of Singapore, Singapore 


    Academician Seeram Ramakrishna is a world-renowned professor of cross-field at the National University of Singapore (NUS), which is ranked among the top ten universities in the world.  He is named among the World’s Most Influential Minds (Thomson Reuters) and Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers since 2014. His publications to date received an H-index of 196 and 186,253 citations (Google Scholar). Highest professional distinctions include an elected Fellow | Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, China; Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng), UK; Indian National Academy of Engineering, India; ASEAN Academy of Engineering & Technology; and Singapore Academy of Engineering.   He is also an elected Fellow of AAAS, ASM International, ASME, AIMBE, USA; IMechE and IoM3, UK; ISTE, India; and IUBSE (FBSE). He received a PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK, and TGMP from Harvard University, USA. He received advanced research experiences from MIT and Johns Hopkins University, USA and KIT, Japan.
